Over the last five years, our community has provided tremendous volunteer support for the "It's a Wonderful House" Tour of Homes. This community support has helped to create a very successful event, resulting in the donation of over $650,000 to the Gwinnett Children's Shelter, a private, nonprofit organization that provides for the needs of abused and abandoned children in the community. The Sales Committee is fast at work on the 2007 Tour with $98,000 being pledged to date. The website provides information regarding the schedule of events as well as pictures of the four homes on the Tour.

The Hospitality and Transportation/Logistics Hosts and Hostesses welcomed over 2,300 guests during the 2006 Tour. The graciousness of the hosts and hostesses has been consistently noted by the guests. In order to continue this welcoming hospitality we need your help. The registration tab below will give you the opportunity to volunteer your time as well as provide you with detailed information regarding the shift times. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferences. You will receive, by e-mail in early November, confirmation of your assignment. The e-mail confirmation will direct you to a protected section on the Tour website that will provide additional information on the homes as well as information regarding the coordinators assigned to work with you.

Hospitality volunteers will be assigned as hosts and hostesses in the homes. Transportation/Logistics volunteers will be assigned to drive golf carts and vans as well as serve in the role of hosts and hostesses on the buses transporting the guests from the Winery to the homes on the Tour.

Chateau Élan property owners volunteering will receive the following:

• An invitation to the Check Presentation Reception, to be scheduled for January 2008. Proceeds from the Tour will be officially presented to the shelter at this reception.
• Volunteers working a minimum of two shifts will receive a complimentary ticket for the Tour.
• Volunteers working a full day will receive a complimentary lunch.
